Although St. Kitts was still experiencing the after effects of Tropical Storm Rafael, Bishop Dr. Kelvin Jones decided that the weather was still good enough for church. He stated that he really expected just a handful, but was most grateful that the church turned out in its numbers.
Since electricity was out, the worship leader and congregation was ably assisted by the youths on the taborines and Brother Khrystus on his Acoustic Guitar. The Service was a blessing.
Having made a few comments, Dr. Jones introduced Brother Khrystus to deliver the Sunday Morning's Sermon. His God-Given powerful voice commanded the attention of everyone in attendance as they followed him throughout the delivery as he spoke on the topic - ENDURE THE PROCESS.
"We have to get to the point where we stop chatting people and carrying people's business here and there. We should only carry someone's business to someone else if we are discussing a plan to help them. We are brothers and sisters and we must be there for each other. We will ensure our ministry stands out as doing that. So when they bring news about you to me or about the sister to you, tell them that that "THERE IS HOPE FOR HIM OR HER and we're going to work to bring him back around. We are not writing off anyone in here any more. We done with that!" postulated Brother Wallace as the congregation cheered and shouted their amens.
He used throughout his presentation two of his favourite phrasees, "Don't Give Up!" and "Hope is Ahead"
Wallace's passage of scripture was Jeremiah 32:1-17 and 27. It is in this passage, the words are enforced, "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?"
Brother Khrystus, as he prefers to be called, although an ordained minister, constantly reminded his listeners that God is going to work it out for them, no matter the issue.
He outlined 5 of the world's failures that turned GLOBAL SUCCESSES and encouraged his congregation again. "KVK and Dare 2 Be Different and Mount Carmel will be some of the region's and world's biggest employers despite our challenging time now. Those who are speaking bad about us and pulling us down now, like Joseph's brothers, they will NEED US, they won't be able to survive without us. Watch and See! We have no choice but to remember to look out for those especially that are looking out for us now. Let's look at these examples of FAILURES TURNED SUCCESSES and be encouraged."
Henry Ford: While Ford is today known for his innovative assembly line and American-made cars, he wasn't an instant success. In fact, his early businesses failed and left him broke five times before he founded the successful Ford Motor Company.
R. H. Macy: Most people are familiar with Macy’s, a large department store chain, but Macy didn't always have it easy. Macy started seven failed business before finally hitting big with his store in New York City.
Walt Disney: Today Disney rakes in billions from merchandise, movies and theme parks around the world, but Walt Disney himself had a bit of a rough start. He was fired by a newspaper editor because, "he lacked imagination and had no good ideas." After that, Disney started a number of businesses that didn't last too long and ended with bankruptcy and failure. He kept working hard, however, and eventually found a recipe for success that worked.
Thomas Edison: In his early years, teachers told Edison he was "too stupid to learn anything." Work was no better, as he was fired from his first two jobs for not being productive enough. Even as an inventor, Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. Of course, all those unsuccessful attempts finally resulted in the design that worked.
Wallace assured the parents and students in attendance that he will be always in their corner fighting for them as he is fully against teachers and schools writing off students before assessing their situation and he isn't afraid of anyone. "Call me parents and students, especially when they want to write you off and I'll leave what I'm doing to represent you especially at schools." Wallace said.
He shared his personal experience of being a scholar from Dr. William Connor Primary through to High School always in A1s but being kicked into 5A2 at the Verchilds High School due to the pressures and pain that children experience living in an adulterous home.
Wallace said, "Many times teachers don't care, they don't ask to find out. Nobody inquired as to why this scholar's grades had gone south but I was determined to make this an example and God helped me to do it. I was the first A2 student, as far as I know to become Valedictorian across St. Kitts - Nevis and I'll tell this story everywhere I go around the world, to enact change and encourage our youths to ENDURE THE PROCESS and always stay HOPEFUL because they can be SUCCESSES TOO. I will tell it to encourage teachers to not just TEACH, but get involved in the lives of children too."
Before turning back over to Dr. Jones, Senior Pastor at The Mount Carmel Baptist Church - www.mountcarmelbaptistonfire.com , Wallace shared many things that were accomplished this week with regards to Dare 2 Be Different and Mount Carmel Baptist Vision Plan.
One of the updates that particularly excited the church was the information that Mount Carmel Baptist / Dare 2 Be Different Farmers will soon be exporting particular organic products grown locally to California to produced end products there and he was finalizing the details with the USA company. He also encouraged writers in the church to start writing and gave a few example ideas. Wallace stated that he is not a preacher that is all about himself, but he wanted the entire church to be successful too and he can help them publish their books for free because of his connections.
"The youth singers apart of this church, we'll be helping them write songs and using my brother's studio - www.djmerci.com so that our young people can have their own albums and even books too and start making their own dollar from young."
Wallace inspired the church further by saying, "I'm no great singer, but search online for my music album and you'll see you can buy the full album or buy one song or buy a ringtone. I did it to show young people that you can do it too. You can earn a living from your talents and we will take you far. "
Wallace pledged to work along with Dare 2 Be Different and Mount Carmel Baptist members only for a considerable amount of time before considering other ministries because while out ALONE in the wilderness for four (4) years from 2008 - 2012 doing such a wonderful work for Jesus, no church willingly approached to worked fully along with his vision like Mount Carmel Baptist did.
Dr. Jones took the microphone and commented, "We thank God for another powerful word from Brother Wallace. We are truly grateful for him. God is really going to use him to take us far. Just listening to him and his dreams and ideas, it sounds like he's a prophet." The church laughed.
The adults and especially the youths are already catching Brother Wallace's heart of helpfulness which is lacking among so many ministers in so many churches around the globe. After service, a little girl handed over her laptop to Brother Wallace to fix at his www.thecompudoctors.com business. Members and of The Mount Carmel Baptist Church and Dare 2 Be Different Victory Centre would never have to pay for computer repairs. Wallace is a firm believer that there should be MANY BENEFITS of being apart of a church body because if Jesus was walking on earth today, everything would not have just been by OVERDOING IT and pulling all of member's money by using psychology, but rather HELPING HIS FOLLOWERS.
Wallace told the church, "We will stop using old ancient ways of fundraising from today. We will use the innovation to raise funds around the globle. Many of the fundraisers that we hold around the globe using the technology, those that help and participate will benefit. I will be heading to each group soon to tell you more in detail about this creative fundrasier and how you will get a US$40 compensation for each individual or company you recruit. The more people and businesses we get apart of this network, the more funds our church will raise annually to support the work. No one will be able to resist our offer so it won't be a hard task." Wallace said that he was going to use this plan to establish a minimum recurring income of US$100,000 within 1 year, to run the church and he believed that The Church should never be an organization suffering due to lack of funds."
